I’d like to remind everyone about the upcoming Stakeholder Meeting & Field Trip for the Cimarron Watershed Alliance. The meeting / field trip will be next Wednesday, September 3rd at 9:30 am at the Elk Ridge Subdivision in eastern Black Lake. Please note the location has changed since my last email announcement.
The meeting / field trip will be an informal tour of the ongoing forest thinning work that one of the CWA’s contractors, Pa and Sons Tree Thinning, has been implementing since April of this year in the Elk Ridge Subdivision under the CWA’s CCWUI Project. We’ll be showing folks work that has been completed, work in progress, areas that have not yet been treated, and answering questions. Please bring your own drinking water, food/snacks, and dress for walking around in the forest. We’ll also be giving folks status updates on our work under the CCWUI Project and other CWA efforts.
Here's directions to the Elk Ridge Subdivision:
· The Elk Ridge Subdivision is located about 20 to 30 minutes south of Angel Fire, NM.
· From Angel Fire, drive south on NM Hwy 434, then continue straight when the road becomes NM Hwy 120 in Black Lake. Turn South off of NM Hwy 120 between Black Lake and Ocate onto Elk Ridge Road at the following location:
o GPS Coordinates 36.289710, -105.183124
o Google Map Link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/eh4XAsZWdqBWsFoR7.
· Please note that cell phone service for most providers drops out as you get close to Elk Ridge.
· CWA Staff will be located at the entrance to direct you to a parking area. Please try to carpool so we can minimize the number of vehicles, and please try to arrive by 9:30 am so we can start the field trip on time. We look forward to seeing everyone next Wednesday.

I recently learned about this deep house cleaning service, and it sounds perfect for anyone who wants their home to feel completely refreshed. Sometimes regular cleaning just doesn’t cut it, and a professional touch can make a huge difference. I like that this service focuses on those hard-to-reach areas that usually get overlooked. Definitely something worth scheduling before hosting guests or moving into a new place.
